The new Greenfield Mini-Pivot 898 offers a better way to manage your labour, water and energy resources, providing you with an efficient method of applying water when and where you want it. To protect your investment, the 898's structure is fully hot dipped galvanised providing long lasting protection against corrosion.

Low Power Requirements
Low power consumption is a real factor to help you control costs. With control circuits operating at 24V DC and the power train operating at 90V DC, your operating costs are kept to a minimum as ordinary single-phase power is all that is required. You can choose from input voltages of 120/240/480V AC depending upon your needs and available power source. A small generating set or solar option, along with deep cycle batteries, provide you with economical alternatives when other methods are not available or too costly to consider.
Centre Drive & Wheel Drive
To maximise efficiency, the 898's centre drive utilises a high-efficiency grease lubricated 90V DC right angle gearmotor. Features include precision bronze gears, gaskets on the brush caps, O rings between the end plate and the frame along with stainless steel output shafts. The centre drive has been designed with enough torque and "irrigation duty" features to provide you with years of reliable service.
The wheel drives are built to rigorous specifications by Electra-Gear. The housing is a two-piece aluminium alloy casting that is stronger and more resistant to shock loads than cast iron. For high efficiency, a precision-ground hardened-alloy steel worm shaft and a precision-milled worm gear are used. Supporting the load are quality tapered roller bearings.
